| Medellin Christmas party at one of the Complexes! |
Well today is Christmas eve and it is pretty weird not having snow around! Everyone says that it is really hard out here in the mission field to be here for Christmas but its really not that bad! I am having a lot of fun and we are going to go cook a Christmas feast tomorrow with us four gringos so it should be really cool! Well this last week we have been having activities in big apartment complexes. Our mission president has been really focused on contacting the people in the apartment complexes because the missionaries have literally never entered in there before so there are thousand of people here in Medellin who have never even had the opportunity to hear the gospel so us four gringos decided to go and organize activities in 5 apartment complexes. Every year they have a big party nine days before Christmas with a nativity scene, they read about Christs birth and stuff so we organized a choir in our ward and we went and sang carols with them and showed them a church video about Christ and the family! Then we had a table full of Ensigns and church material that they could take home for free if they were interested and they wrote down their names and their information to contact them so it was way cool!! We got a ton of references so this week we should be finding a ton of new families to teach! |

We met as a mission this last week too and the president trained us and took us out to dinner and I had the best steak that I have had in a whole year!! Ha ha but during the training sessions the assistants and the president did some practices, so there were a lot of missionaries that practiced that were basically robots and it was just really bad. Me and my companion Elder Bussey practiced two times in front of everyone and we were literally the only missionaries who weren't robots and did the practice right and they used us as an example! It was an awesome experience and it was just a testimony of the blessings we are receiving right now and the power we have when we teach! Way cool experience!!
Well everyone I am doing good here even though it is Christmas! Ha ha I am loving life out here in Medellin and I hope everyone out there has a FELIZ NAVIDAD!!! :)
