Hey everyone,
Well this last week we had a baptism! Her name is Liseth and she is a member's little sister. She is 15 years old and she is super smart. We got to know her a couple of weeks ago and she learned everything that she needed to know to get baptized plus more in a week! She said that she wanted to get baptized at once so we got her interviewed and we baptized her. Her older brother baptized her and it was a super spiritual experience watching the baptism. She shared her testimony at the end and it was incredible, she had tried to take away her life about a month before she got baptized and her older brother saved her and she realized how big of a mistake that she had made. She said that God gave her another chance to live and she finally found real happiness in her life. It was a great baptismal service and it was my companions first baptism in the mission!!! WOO!
Elder Gabbitas is awesome, he is learning a lot and he helps me a ton with new ideas and staying motivated all the time. He is a great guy. He was pretty happy about his first baptism and we should have a couple more this month so it should be a great first month for him! He got his first "snake" this week too!! haha a snake here means a woman who is in love with a missionary! haha she is super ugly and like 44 years old, we had english classes on sunday and she was just blowing kisses to him the whole time!! hahaha it was hilarious. The poor guy is terrified but he will be fine.
The area is looking good and everything is going great! Time is flying by way too fast!
