The outside of the apartment.
Hey Everyone!
So this week has been pretty good but crazy! We haven't had power for the last 3 days and we couldn't figure out why. The first day we figured it was just a power outage, which it was but then everyone else had power but us so I decided to go check out the circuit breakers and the power box. So I went outside and checked the power box and there was a dead frog in there, he jumped in there and got fried by all of the wires in there and shorted out our power box! Ha ha it was so crazy! So we finally figured that out and a member came over and fixed it which was so nice because taking a freezing shower at 7 in the morning is never fun!
Sad about the power being out for 3 days.  Cold showers.
Oh ad I have a pretty funny story too, so the other day me and my companion were calling some investigators on the street for our next lesson and some crazy homeless guy was walking on the street and he looked at me and stopped and just stared at me. Then he yelled at me in Spanish and told me to go back to my own country and nobody wants me here because I am a gringo! and then I heard the word "Gasolina" which is gasoline in English and apparently he told me he was going to go get gasoline and a match to light me on fire and take care of the gringo problem! Ha ha he then pulled out an invisible cell phone and started telling his "invisible friends" that we have a gringo on the street and to bring the gasoline! Ha ha he went around to all of the bars and told everyone too so that was a great experience! Ha ha it was really funny.

At a members home for lunch!

Money!

New soccer jersey and cheap pineapples.

FĂștbol (soccer) here is every ones life! There was a game the other day against the two best teams in the world real Madrid and Barcelona and everyone was in the street watching it on the TVs at the bars and they were all screaming and yelling and it was so crazy! That never happens in the U.S. but it was pretty cool!
This week I learned how to cook here too and that was pretty cool! I learned how to cook rice, with eggs, and then they have these huge banana's that are green called platinos and they cook them in oil and I learned how to do that and I have been eating a ton of pineapples! Ha ha they are 75 cents for a huge pineapple so I buy them all of the time! The Avocados here are so crazy! Each one is 3/4 of a pound and they are like 25 cents each! It is so crazy!  I love it!
We have been teaching a ton here but we haven't been having much success, our investigators aren't really following through and one of them dropped us the other day but it is alright! I have a feeling that it will turn around pretty soon!
I hope everyone is doing good and I love you all!!
Love,
Elder Watts
