I AM OFFICIALLY IN THE MEDELLIN MISSION

I am loving life here! My house, the people, my companion, everything is amazing! I left in a bus on Wednesday and here are some pictures of my trip in the bus!! This place is the prettiest place that I have ever seen in my life! I am just surrounded by hills and mountains and rivers and it is just incredible! I don't have to worry about my house or anything anymore and I am just in Paradise! :) That is so cool about Case's baptism! Tell him congrats!

I got changed last Wednesday and I am loving it here! I am in a city called Pereira and in an area called naranjos. It is honestly perfect here! I am in a little valley that is just surrounded by huge mountains. there are hills and rivers ever where in my area and the climate here is amazing! It is so much colder than Cali and I love it! The people here when they talk they sing! it is so cool! I have heard that the accent is a ton worse in Medellin but I guess we will see! Ha ha the people here are so much more friendly than Cali too! We have people to wash our clothes, the members bring investigators to church, the members visit the investigators because they want to, and they are all just so happy all of the time! It is just a perfect area! My house is so much better too! it is two stories and it is in an area that is really peaceful and quiet. It is clean and it gets kind of cold in the night which is awesome because I don't have to sleep with a fan on! We have 3 bathrooms and a kitchen and a 2 rooms to ourselves for our clothes and our bathrooms and we share our bedroom! it is a TON better than my old house! Ha ha
Oh the other day we were going to teach an investigator for the first time and we got there and it turns out that she invited 4 other people to listen to us! Ha ha she had never listened to a lesson before or anything and she went and invited 4 new investigators! Ha ha things like that are just normal here! and people ask us for book of Mormons where before we had to beg people to take them let alone read them! it is so amazing here!
My companion is Elder Barrantes and he is from Costa Rica. He has been in the mission for 20 months so he has a ton of time in the mission. He knows how to teach so well and explain things to where anyone could understand them! he is super funny and he is just a nice kid! before the mission he played soccer and he played on a semi pro team so he is pretty good at sports and he is just a cool kid! he is basically fluent in English but we never speak English because I need to learn Spanish! Ha ha but it helps to have a walking dictionary to help me all of the time! Ha ha but I am learning a ton from him and hopefully by the time that he leaves I will be able to teach as well as him!
I am doing SO good out here and I am loving life! the Medellin mission is amazing and I cant even tell you how much better the climate is! Ha ha oh and by the way there are actually a lot of white people here! none of them speak English but it is weird to see people with blue eyes again! Ha ha but I am loving life and so grateful for the opportunity I have to be here in Naranjos!
Hope everyone has a great week I love you all!!
