Hey everyone!
So I have officially completed a year in the mission. It's crazy how fast the time is flying. It just doesn't seem real. But I am loving it out here. This week my companion through a surprise birthday party/family home evening in a members house and it was a lot of fun! We stopped by there and I guess that it is tradition to cover the birthday boy in eggs and flour so I walked in and they all just attacked me! Then I got my face shoved in the cake so I was just a big mess that night! ha-ha so I still smell like eggs and I found flour in my ears and everywhere else in church the next day. It was a lot of fun and it was cool having a little bit of a celebration.
We are going really good with our investigators. We found a new guy this week named Luis and we went to teach him and he was really depressed so we presented the book of Mormon and helped him to understand what it was, he said he read it and he just feels positive about life and that he wants to change his life! He is amazing! and he has 13 brothers and sisters so that is what we like to call a gold mine! :) So we will see if we can get all of them to progress! We have another investigator named Elizabeth who is really cool as well. We taught her the word of wisdom this week because we knew she had some problems with it and she said that she drinks alcohol and coffee a lot but it is no problem she wont drink it again if that's what it takes to change her life, and she said its not a big deal at all, if you told me to stop eating meat I would do it right this instance... We were just smiling the whole lesson! she is way receptive so we are having a really good time teaching everyone here!!
Anyways, I am doing really good out here. Loving life and time is flying by! I hope everyone has a great week!! Love you guys!
