Elder Watts and Diana
Diana M.C.M.L.
Elder Garcia
Hey everyone!
Alright first things first, for the transfer I didn't get transferred but my companion did! I am kind of sad to see him go because he was a really happy guy and we had a lot of fun but it is good I guess! So I am now the District Leader here in my area which is pretty cool but it is kind of nerve racking because now I have to do baptismal interviews and I have to determine if people are ready to get baptized or not and it scares me a lot but I am sure I will get used to it after my first one! My new companion is Elder Garcia and he is from Honduras. He is a pretty cool guy.   Plus he is an awesome cook so hopefully I can learn a thing or two from him!
We had a baptism this last week on Saturday and her name is Diana M. C. M. L. (Name appreviated), (Yeah quite a mouthful). But on Saturdays I teach English classes in the morning so we went to the church and while I was teaching my companion was cleaning the font and filling it up and stuff and when I finished the classes I went and checked the font and it was all filled and clean and ready to go for the baptism in the night. So we left and I went and made a baptismal agenda and got all of the information ready that we needed and we went back to the chapel at like 5 30 and the baptism was at 6. We got there and apparently when my companion filled up the font he didn't tighten the plug very well so like three fourths of the water had left and we didn't have the keys to fill it up again and neither did the bishop! So we started filling up trashcans and buckets full of water to fill the font up again! Ha ha and while all of this was happening the girl we were going to baptise still hadn't shown up and we were waiting for her! So we finally got the water up to a little above my knee and she finally came! We started the service and it went really well and I sang I am a child of God in English and Spanish for the musical number and it went really good! I was the one that baptised her so I had to say that huge freaking name but it went alright!  I basically had to get on my knees to baptise her because the water was so low but it worked and we only had to do it once. The water was so freezing too! Ha ha but it went really well and right after she got baptised she was so happy and she just seemed so pure and it made me feel amazing that I brought her to make that covenant with God and that she has a new chance to start of her life in the right path! It was an amazing feeling!
But other than that I am doing good! The area is still the same and I hope that we can find a lot of new investigators this week to work with! We have a lot of investigators that want to get baptised but they need to get married so we will see if we can help them out with that! I hope everyone has a great week! I love you all!  Oh my new zone leader is named Elder Kennedy and he is from Far West Utah!! Who would have guessed!! Ha ha he knows the Chuggs really well and he dated one of their daughters! He snowboarded at Powder Mountain a lot and he is a really cool guy! Small world Right? Ha ha
