Hey everyone!
This last week has been really good! We have been teaching a lot but a lot of investigators don't have a lot of interest so it is kind of frustrating. We are going to try to find a lot of new investigators this week so hopefully we can find some that really have an interest and have a desire to change because that is the hardest part of being a missionary is getting people to commit, a lot of people love to listen to the word of God but hate to keep commitments so hopefully we can find some people that want to change this week.
We were sitting in a lesson the other day and we were teaching a couple named Argenis and José H. We were sharing some scripture when all of a sudden they looked at each other and said "ESTA TEMBLANDO" and booked it out of the door. Me and my companion sat there and watched for about 5 seconds and just looked at each other, ha ha I understood what it meant "its shaking" but I had no idea why they had said it and why they freaked out! I guess there was an earthquake and they felt it and ran out of the house and me and my companion didn't feel a thing! Ha ha I thought they were lying at first but they have these little bobble head dolls and I looked over right after they left and they were shaking pretty bad so apparently I have no feeling in my body! Ha ha it was pretty funny. We went shopping with a member and she taught us how to shop smart and cheap which was weird because before I just always bought what looked good but now I am cost efficient! Ha ha imagine that right? Like I said we have been struggling to find investigators and when we do find them they don't have a lot of interest! like the other day we were teaching a lesson to a new investigator and her friend was over and he asked us if we were missionaries and everything and we said yes and he said that he would love to be a missionary (which was kind of cool at the start) and so we started teaching him and he liked it, and everything but in the middle of the lesson he got up and he said I have to go sorry, its that I do a lot of heroin and I have an injection right now for the next 8 days but I will see you around.... yeah so that is great ha ha. Oh well hopefully we can find some good ones this week.
The area is still really nice but it kind of sucks leading the area because I have to make all of the decisions and my companion just kind of follows so it is hard in that aspect but I am getting used to it. My zone is so cool and there are a lot of great elders here that I look up to a lot!
